At Bosvigo School we have a strong working relationship between our governors, staff, children and parents. We believe that by having governors who are heavily involved in the school the children benefit and Bosvigo is a better place to be.
Clerk to the Governors is Linda Cackett.
If you need to contact the governors you can leave a message with the school reception or email lcackett@bosvigo.cornwall.sch.uk

Having begun my teaching career twenty years ago in Berkshire, I returned to Cornwall and joined the team at Bosvigo School in 2008 as Deputy Headteacher. I became Headteacher of Bosvigo in 2011 and have enjoyed every moment of my time here. We have experienced many great adventures as the Bosvigo community over the last fourteen years and I know that many more lie ahead.
Term of Office: From 1st June 2012
Committees: Operations, Learning and Development, Pay (non-voting member)
I believe education is about ensuring all children are able to make meaning of the world around them and feel a true sense of belonging. However, I also know, first hand, the complexities and high-level demands that school leaders and teachers face on a daily basis, which is why I am passionate about being part of the schools' governing body to provide support and guidance where needed.
I currently lead the DfE English Hub for Cornwall and am also Kernow Learning Trust's Key Stage Two Reading and Writing Lead, which entails working across twenty-one schools. Both these roles hopefully allow me to bring relevant support to the team within Bosvigo but especially in areas connected with literacy - of which there are many!
All three of my children have attended Bosvigo school and I was a member of the staff team from 2013-2022. I have seen the school go from strength to strength and I feel both excited and privileged to remain part of its journey.

I was privileged to be elected a Parent Governor in November 2015. I put my name forward because I care passionately that the school which serves our local children should be the best school it can possibly be. I want the children who are educated here to be encouraged to reach their full potential. I think it is essential that our children are given the confidence and support to raise their aspirations to achieve not just their expected potential, but well beyond it. I have two daughters at the school and really enjoy playing an active role in the Bosvigo community. (Moved to Co-Opted)
